DJ Louise McSharry gave fans a glimpse at her son Ted’s third birthday.
The Dubliner shared a sneak peak at Ted’s birthday celebration, and revealed that all he wanted for the big day was, “candles, marshmallows, and chocolate buttons.”
Of course Ted got his wish, with bowls of marshmallows and buttons set up on the table, along with mini caterpillar cakes with candles stuck in them. But the celebration didn’t stop with this, there were also wrapped presents waiting for him and a birthday banner, reading; “Hip Hip Hooray”
The mum of two also shared a throwback photo of herself holding baby Ted as a newborn. Captioning her post; “Three years since this guy arrived, and what a gem he is.”
“I’ve wished away a lot of days since I became a mother, and I’m ok with that, but I would love to go back to the start again with the little dreamboat that is Ted. Maybe without a global pandemic though.”
Louise previously opened up about family life during the pandemic.
Speaking with the RTE Guide the RTE 2DM DJ said; “At first we didn’t have a shape on the day but the we divided it up, so one of us would work in the morning and the other in the afternoon.”
“Whoever had the kids would try and take them out and keep them busy. It was hard, but I kept thinking of people that were in much worse situations than mine. But I would be lying if I said I didn’t have times when I felt really sorry for myself.”
Continuing Louise said; “When you have small kids your lives are so busy, at home it’s go go go. I can’t stay up long after the kids go to bed, I’m so tired, so by the time you sit down together you might not have the energy for a conversation.”
“But because we were both working from home we’d have lunch together or a coffee together so we got to talk a lot more and that was really good. It seems that it went one way or another for people in their relationships,” she added.
