Louis Walsh has revealed that he would consider assisted suicide if he was gravely ill.
The talent judge spoke out saying he agreed with statements made by TV personalities Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan back in 2014 when they admitted they have a suicide pack if one of them falls seriously ill.
The Irish star says he has no interest in spending his final years in a wheelchair in a nursing home and wants to make the most of the time he has left.
When asked about the prospect of assisted suicide he told The Digital Spy, “Yes, I would. I’ve thought about that.I don’t want to hang around in a wheelchair in a nursing home. I don’t. I don’t want to be like that.
“I have thought about it recently. I would take some pills and fly off. That’s why we have to enjoy ourselves while we are here.”
Louis is set to return to our screens tonight at 8pm for the first episode in this series of the X Factor.
