The 2 Johnnies are due to say goodbye to 2FM today after two years with the show.
Their announcement came with Doireann Garrihy and Jennifer Zamparelli confirming their time on air had come to an end.
Of course, speculation was rife about who could step into their shoes.
And now it has been confirmed who will be taking on the drivetime slot.
Lottie Ryan and David O’Reilly will present Monday-Friday on 2FM Drive with Lottie and David.
The ultimate messers, Lottie and David are set to make the nation’s commute a lot brighter and happier with great tunes, giveaways and giggles all the way home from 3-6pm.
Lottie Ryan is a familiar voice to listeners across 2FM, presenting the Entertainment News from Monday to Friday, as well as stepping in to present Breakfast Republic in 2018 and 2019.
She also hosted Weekend Breakfast. Lottie won the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars in 2020 and went on to present the official RTÉ DWTS podcast.
David O’Reilly contributes across several of the daytime 2FM shows and presented on Bank Holiday Breakfast. He has appeared in West End productions such as The Book of Mormon, Grease and Catherine Tate Live.
David played the role of Bean in the hit ITV series Benidorm and also appeared in Netflix’s Christmas on Mistletoe Farm. His Irish television credentials include Elaine on Virgin Media One where he was the weekly showbiz correspondent.
David was the lead producer and host of An Evening with Jennifer Saunders and went on to produce An Evening with Kathy Burke and Judi Dench.
