Lisa Cannon has revealed that her next career move will take her across the pond to the UK. The former Xpose presenter was axed from the show last year, and has since been covering for Anna Daly as a host on Saturday and Sunday AM.
Now the 38-year-old is looking forward to moving onto new things, after signing with an agent in the UK, Kruger Crowne. This is the same agency that represents the likes of Meghan Markle, Cher, David Gandy and our very own Graham Norton.
Her first gig with the renowned agency is to interview Sir Bob Geldof for ‘A Conversation With’ event in London later this week.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail Lisa said, “It’s kind of my first foray into the UK. It takes place in the Hospital Club in Covent Garden, on stage in front of an audience of industry people, so I’m really excited about it.”
However, she isn’t turning her back on TV3, with a few projects up her sleeve. She also and loved her time hosting the weekend programme, calling it “an honour.”
“I had an incredible time anchoring on Saturday and Sunday AM. It was an absolute honour and a pleasure to wake up the nation live every weekend. I genuinely loved it.
“I had a super time and learnt a great deal, from my interest in politics to cookery, human interest and lifestyle it gave me great scope.
“I’ll treasure the time on the show always and look forward to making TV magic again very soon.”
