Lisa Cannon said goodbye to viewers today as she hosted her final Weekend AM programme.
The former Xposé presenter was standing in for Anna Daly over the past six months, as she took her maternity leave. But now, the time has come for Lisa to leave the regular weekend slot, as Anna is set to return to our screens next week.
However, Lisa won’t be left idle for long, as she has many exciting projects up her sleeve.
“I am going to do other projects with TV3, I am looking to go between a few of the shows and I’ve also pitched a lot of ideas that I’m interested in doing,” she told the RTÉ Guide.
“I’m enjoying presenting at the moment, but I am very aware that at some point those doors won’t always be open to me.
“So for sure I will have to go back to my original training, production. All the channels now welcome people who produce and present.
“You need to be multifaceted to be able to survive in this industry. The days of just being a presenter are gone.”
