Linda Nolan has sadly passed away at the age of 65.
Her agent, Dermot McNamara, confirmed the sad news on Wednesday.
Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and given the all-clear in 2011.
However, in 2017 was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. By 2023, the cancer had spread to her brain.
In a statement, her agent said: “She passed at around 10:20am at Blackpool Victoria Hospital on the MCEW Ward.
“The family said the hospital couldn’t do enough, they were tireless and made it so much more bearable.”
He went on to say: “She passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments. Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment.
“She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others. Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.”
The singer was a member of the Irish group The Nolans with her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise and Anne. Their biggest hits include Gotta Pull Myself Together, Attention to Me and I’m In The Mood for Dancing.
Linda was also known for her on-screen appearances for appearing on Loose Women with her sister, Colleen.
