Lidl Ireland has urgently recalled a batch of children’s ‘Lupilu’ biscuits following allergy concerns.
According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, the affected Lupilu biscuits do not have some of the allergy information written in English.
FSAI stated: “Lidl Ireland is recalling the above batches of its Lupilu Organic Spelt Biscuits and its Lupilu Organic Oat Biscuits as the ingredients are not labelled in English.”
They added, “The implicated batches contain cereals containing gluten.”
Furthermore, shoppers were warned that “there may also be an unintentional presence of egg, milk, nuts, peanuts sesame and soybeans.”
These batches are: Lupilu Organic Spelt Biscuits (L8463) with the best before date 15/09/2019 and Lupilu Organic Oat Biscuits (L8464) with the best before date 15/09/2019.
