Retailers Lidl have issued an urgent recall on one of their Easter egg products.
The statement comes after the chocolate eggs are said have been labelled incorrectly, affecting the vital allergy information.
The products in question are the Favorina Dip chocolate Easter eggs with a best before date of July 30 2018.
“These products contain milk making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents,” the UK food standards agency said in a statement.
“They may also pose a risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to cereals containing gluten, egg, peanut, soya and nuts.”
Both the chocolate and creme flavours are being recalled and Lidl has issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
