Laura Whitmore rewears Mariah Carey’s dress for Casa Amor recoupling

This year, Love Island has promised to champion sustainable fashion by partnering with eBay for the 2022 season.

Leading the charge is host Laura Whitmore, herself. She has been rocking some pre-loved pieces every weekend on Aftersun.

Of course, she headed into the villa this week for the iconic and feared Casa Amor recoupling in what may be the messiest season yet.

Laura did her signature slow-mo walk into the villa in an all-pink look that could have come straight out of Margot Robbie’s Barbie movie. And if that dress looks familiar, you may remember another famous lady rocking it.

Mariah Carey wore the exact same dress for her Vogue photoshoot over two decades ago in 2000.

The hot pink leopard print dress was sourced from My Runway Archive,  a London based vintage designer archive. The Emanuel Ungaro from the 2000 S/S collection features a thigh high split and soft ruffles.

Stylist Emma Manley paired the heart-stopping look with some silver platform heels from Aquazzura.

Laura debuted her freshly dyed pink hair for the recouping as hearts are about to shatter across the villa.

Of course, keeping in theme with her sustainable wardrobe, her hair was just as eco-friendly. Hair stylist Penelope Ryan applied the light pink tint with Alchemic Conditioner from Davines, an environmentally friendly hair care business.

She couldn’t stop the love theme there, with celebrity manicurist Michelle Class on hand to paint love hearts on each of Laura’s nails.

Make-up artist Tori Ball gave the presenter a ‘Casa Candy’ look featuring a light pink lip and shimmery eye.
