Viewers settled in for the perfect Sunday night with the Dancing with the Stars final airing and Kin returning for a second season.
And it was off to a stellar start with viewers praising the series straight off the bat.
The series kicked off nine months after the Kinsellas outplayed Eamon Cunningham, and wiped Dublin’s top crime lord off the map.
However, things have turned even more tense as the Kinsella clan relish their new position of power and authority.
Amanda, having led the final charge against Eamon, has come into her role as the de facto leader and matriarch of the family.
Her husband Jimmy, his uncle Frank, and aunt Birdy fall in line behind her, though questions are raised as to whether or not she will continue to be a suitable leader for not just the family, but the business as well.
And Amanda isn’t the only person balancing life on a knife’s edge. Michael has been in hiding since carrying out the hits that led to Eamon’s defeat.
Oh and Viking is on the cusp of release from his prison sentence.
And viewers were absolutely glued to the explosive season opener.

#Kin Lots of moody shots. People walking slowly and long silent stares. Yes Kin is back.
