Coronation Street fans will be pretty happy to hear that Keith Duffy may be returning to the cobbles.
The Boyzone star was a popular character on the UK soap, and last appeared on the ITV programme in 2011.
But it seems he’s set to be make his big comeback, and we’re seriously excited! It’s being reported that Kate Oates, who takes over as producer of Corrie in the New Year, has told staff that Keith, Helen Flanagan and Georgia Taylor would be welcome additions to the show.
A source from Corrie said: “Kate was going on about how excited she was to join the cast and crew in January and saying she couldn’t wait to get her teeth into the show.
“She loved the idea of bringing Toyah back and said there would be endless opportunities for the character to be exploited after being away for so long. The same went for Rosie. She said again there would be loads of terrific storylines.”
They told the Sun: “All three are well-loved characters and getting any of them back would be hugely popular with Corrie fans.”
