Katja Mia has shared a “creepy” experience that happened to her while she was working out in her apartment complex’s gym.
The Six O’Clock Show host has been detailing her wellness journey in recent months.
However, a scary turn saw her racing out of the gym back to her apartment.
She took to social media, to recount the story saying: “I’m literally shaking. I was working out in the gym – I’m not even finished my workout, my headphones were literally hanging off me.

“It’s not even 9pm and I was alone in the gym. My gym is in my apartment… it’s all pretty well locked. People cannot get in unless they have an electric fob. I was literally in the middle of a dumbbell set and I see this man in a tracksuit by himself. He hops over the fence that’s like a barrier between the gym, the apartment block and the outside.
“There’s a fire door that is always locked, that is never open. It’s only open for emergencies and you can only open it from the inside.”
She went on to say: “I literally see him leap over the fence, and then he doesn’t even try to knock on the door to get in – that’s how I know he does not live in this apartment complex.
“He’s pulling down the handle of the fire door trying to get in. I pulled out my headphones and my heart was literally pounding. I acted really cool and said to him: ‘You can’t get in, it’s always locked. You can’t get in’.
@katja_miaaWell that’s me never going to the gym at night again
“I don’t know why I did this, probably just to seem chill about it and normal, but I told him you have to go all the way around for the entrance.”
She added: “I was alone in the gym so I could only assume the worst thing. My body, the response – my heart was beating, my hands were shaking, my body was telling me to get the f**k out of there.
“I’ve never left the gym so fast. I ran so fast to get back into my apartment. For all I know, maybe he had a friend living in the apartment and he couldn’t find the entrance, maybe he hasn’t been here before.
“But you think he’d use a regular entrance instead of hopping over a fence and trying to open the fire escape door without even asking someone to let him in first.”
She concluded by saying: “Maybe I overreacted, but it was just pretty f**king creepy, I couldn’t get out of there faster.”
She shared a follow up when she confirmed that she had told the Gardaí as well as reporting it to apartment.
