We all witnessed Kathryn Thomas fangirling over Matt Le Blanc at the weekend, and now she’s admitted she “literally shoved children out of the way” to get a selfie with the Friends star.
The RTE star has admitted the lengths she went to to get a photo with the iconic US actor, who was visiting Kerry while she was in town for her Pure Results bootcamp.
Speaking on the Eoghan McDermott show, The Voice of Ireland host said: “I was wandering around town and literally I was walking down the main street and who pulled in? Only Matt Le Blanc!”
“He just sort of rolled into town and of course we were all pretty shocked – but word had spread and a crowd had gathered, so there was a couple hundred people there and he pulled in and in he goes into Florry Batt’s Bar.”
She continued on the 2FM show: “My mum is from Kenmare, so we know a lot of the locals down there and a friend of mine Patrick is the local mayor down there so he pulled out his chain of office.
“We slipped in the front door, and god love him I felt sorry for him because he was just plagued, by me included, you know cameras in his face and people just going ‘how you doin?’
“But he was a lovely guy, but you could tell he was tired, you know, and you could tell he had no interest in talking to me whatsoever.”
When asked by Eoghan if she forced herself upon the Episodes star, Kathryn had no shame in her answer.
“I did, yeah, and I’m not usually like a stalker or a fan girl, I get kind of embarrassed and a bit starstruck. But because it was him and because it was Florry Batt’s in Kenmare, I literally turned into a lunatic,” she laughed.
“I literally shoved five children out of the way, I was like ‘let me in!’” We don’t blame you, Kathryn… We’d do the same to get a snap with Joey!
