Kathryn Thomas has opened up about life since welcoming baby Ellie, and the biggest challenges she has faced so far in motherhood.
The RTE presenter welcomed her gorgeous daughter back in March, and has been adjusting to life as a new mum, while keeping up with her busy career.
“When you run your own business it is hard to switch off. I’m not someone who is good at just doing nothing.” Kathryn told Evoke.ie.
“Although Ellie comes along with me to almost everything there is no such thing as maternity leave when you run your own business. It was like 2 weeks and then back to work.
“I’m still trying to figure out how to really switch off completely at times and just focus on her. I’m still trying to get it right. To get that work/life balance right.”
The 39-year-old previously opened up to Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show about suffering two heartbreaking miscarriages while trying for a baby with partner Padraig, and now says that it was all worth it to have her little bundle of joy.
“She’s a great baby. She’s a blessing. She feeds, she sleeps,”
“We just wanted her so much. She was a long time coming. Her smiles make everything worth the while. They are everything.”
How sweet is baby Ellie!?
