Jake Carter has opened up about living with his brother Nathan.
The brothers, who are both singers, live together in Fermanagh.
Jake says the pair get on great but barely see each other now that they are both very busy.
The pop singer currently rehearsing for his debut on Dancing with the Stars Ireland. Jake joined the likes of Marty Morrissey and Erin McGregor on the reality show.
He admitted that he often looks to his big brother for help and guidance.
“He’s always the first person I go to for advice about my music and my career. He can talk to me too, so we’re fortunate that we have someone we can trust completely and confide in,” he said.
Jake also explained that the two have gone in different directions with their music styles.
“We both do different music now. Nathan is very much country whereas I’m more pop. My self-penned material is definitely more pop.
“Don’t get me wrong, I still love country music, it was always on in our house when we were growing up.”
“But I was very much into pop acts like McFly, Busted and The Saturdays and I think that, subconsciously, that type of music influenced my own stuff.”
The singer said that he and Nathan rarely disagree, and that it is very pleasant living with him.
“It’s great living in Fermanagh with Nathan. We never argue at all.
“The odd time maybe one of us might say something if I’m coming in after being out partying and he has to get up early or it’s him coming in late when I’ve to be up early, but it never develops into a row.
“We get on very well, though to be honest, we’re both so busy at the moment, we hardly see each other.”
