They usually shun the spotlight, but actor Jack Reynor and his model fiancee Madeline Mulqueen were happy to pose for pictures on the red carpet last night for the Dublin premiere of Macbeth.
Jack stars alongside fellow Irishman Michael Fassbender and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard in an epic retelling of the classic Shakespeare tale about an ambitious Scottish lord who seizes the throne with the help of his wife
The 23-year-old and his bride-to-be were the stars of last night’s screening, which took place in the Light House Cinema, Smithfield and they both seemed relaxed as they smiled for the cameras.
But, true to form, Jack told the waiting media that he and Madeline will be keeping their privacy for their big day. “No, I’m afraid we won’t be doing [a magazine deal]. That’s going too private,” he said.
“That’s the way I was raised – that’s my personal life and those kinds of things are for me and my family and the people I love.
“I think it muddies the water a bit if you start letting your professional life overlap that way into what you do in private. It’s a pretty important boundary to make, I think.”
And although the pair have been engaged since last year, Jack insisted he’s not ready for marriage and children yet.
“I think we’re a little way off those kinds of things yet, – all I can do is continue making movies for the time being and see where things take me in the future,” he told the Herald.
