Jack Keating has landed his first TV opportunity since his Love Island appearance – but it’s not on a reality show!

The Irish lad is the son of Ronan Keating and Yvonne Connolly, he made an appearance on Love Island in the 2022 summer series where he was unfortunately unsuccessful in finding love.

The 23-year-old is considering an acting career after landing his new role and would like to give some national soaps a go – Fair City here he comes!

The former social media marketing executive will be joining the Stand Up Sketch Show alongside comedians Seann Walsh and Joel Dommett.

A source revealed to The Sun how excited Jack is to be getting into acting saying: “Jack has never done anything like this before. It’s all new to him. He was super nervous but since filming has begun, he’s really started to enjoy it.”

Jack began his Love Island journey at Casa Amor one of the most loved segments of the hit reality dating show.

Before entering the show he took to Instagram to let everyone know that he would be joining the show. His father, singer/songwriter and Boyzone member took to Instagram to repost Jack’s announcement saying: “Let’s go”.

Prior to entering the villa, Jack spoke about his relationship with Ronan saying: “He will be watching when I’m on it for sure. He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates”.

Jack and his sisters Missy and Ali are the only children between Ronan and his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly.

Ronan and Yvonne split up in 2015 and Ronan has since remarried and welcomed two children – Cooper and Coco – with wife Storm.
