The TV BAFTA Awards took place this weekend and there were plenty of Irish nominations.
Of course there were, we are a seriously talented bunch!
Graham Norton and Sharon Horgan were among those nominated in the Irish contingency.
However, it is with a heavy heart we have to say that Ireland walked away empty-handed on Sunday night.

Graham’s late-night chat show The Graham Norton Show was nominated in the Comedy Entertainment category. Meanwhile, the Corkman himself was shortlisted in the Entertainment Performance.
Joe Lycett beat out Graham as the Entertainment Performance while Rob & Romesh Vs … beat out his chat show in the Comedy Entertainment category.
Sharon was nominated in the Leading Actress category for her performance in the BBC drama Best Interests, which also starred Irish newcomer Niamh Moriarty.
Sarah Lancashire won in this category for her role in Happy Valley.

Irish actor Mairéad Ronan was also nominated in the Female Performance in a Comedy category for her Disney+ series Extraordinary. And Emma Moran, who created the series was nominated for her work as part of the writing team.
Belfast actor Roisín Gallagher was also nominated in the same category for The Lovers.
Mairéad and Roisín lost out to Gbemisola Ikumelo for her role in BBC One series, Black Ops.
Extraordinary missed out to BBC Three series Such Brave Girls.
Éanna Hardwicke had been nominated in the Supporting Actor category for his performance in the BBC true-crime series The Sixth Commandment where he played murderer Ben Field.
However, the Cork actor missed out on the award as Matthew MacFadyen won for Succession.
