Ireland has really cemented itself on the map for having some of the most talented people in the world.
From authors to musicians to actors, we’re theming with talent.
And it has been shown time and time again at award shows across the globe.
And the National Television Awards in the UK has proven that once again.
There are several Irish talents up for nomination this year.
Nicola Coughlan has been nominated for Drama Performance for her role in Bridgerton. She is up against new Irish actress Ella Lily Hyland for her role in Fifteen-Love.
Jamie Dornan has also been nominated in the same category for The Tourist. As well as Aidan Turner, who also starred in Fifteen-Love.
Louisa Harland is in the same category for her new series, Renegade Nell.
Graham Norton’s fronted Wheel of Fortune is up for Best Quiz Show and Graham himself is nominated for Best TV Presenter. The Graham Norton Show has been nominated in the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
Mrs Brown’s Boys, Big Mood, which stars Nicola Coughlan and The Young Offenders have all been nominated in the Comedy category.
Masters of the Air, which stars Barry Keoghan and Anthony Boyle, has also been nominated in the Drama category.
The annual awards will be held in London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
