Irish country singer Cliona Hagan has tied the knot with long-term partner Simon Sheehan in a stunning castle ceremony.
Saying ‘I do’ in front of their friends and family this week, Cliona and Simon had a stunning ceremony in Athlone, later retiring to the 5* Kilronan Castle in Roscommon later that evening for the reception.
The bride wore a stunning dress from Irish designer Geraldine O’Meara, form fitting with a long train and veil to match, the top of the dress has spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline. Meanwhile, groom Simon looked dapper as ever in a skinny jean and boot combo, styled with a textured black blazer and shirt to match.
The wedding day for the couple has been a long time coming as Cliona and Simon got engaged in Decemeber of 2020. Sharing the romantic story of how Simon popped the question, the DWTS contestant told Sunday World:
“We went down to our favourite lake, Lough Ree in Co Westmeath, where we always have a nice walk”
“Then I saw this beautiful arch and flowers, and a red carpet and candles. He had my favourite song playing, Shania Twain’s You’re Still The One, and he just got down on one knee and proposed”
“The two of us were crying and it was such a beautiful moment I could hardly even speak”
Congratulations Cliona and Simon!
