Downton Abbey is returning to the big screen for the third time.
Yes, you read that right!
It was announced this week that the period drama would be releasing its third film with the beloved cast returning.
Including our very own Allen Leech.
While details about the third film are being kept very close to the chest, here’s what we know about the latest installment in the franchise.
The third film will be entitled The Grand Finale, as we bid farewell to Downton Abbey for good.
The third and final film will be released in cinemas globally on September 12th, 2025.
Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton, Lesley Nicol, Michael Fox, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Kevin Doyle, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sophie McShera, Douglas Reith and Dominic West return for the final film.
Fans will also be introduced to Paul Giamatti, Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale, Arty Froushan, and many other fan favourites.
