Actor Johnny Ward, who plays Ciaran in RTE soap Fair City has spoken out about the public’s reaction to his hugely unpopular character.
Johnny is involved in the current plot which has seen his character Ciaran holding Katy captive in a shed for over a year, in the soap’s longest running story line ever.
Fans are furious with his character, and viewers are taking their anger out on him.
“I’m getting women whacking me across the head with handbags,” he told TVNow Magazine.
The Dubliner also admitted that while the end is in sight for this particular storyline, he’s not too sure how things will play out for his character.
“I don’t know how its going to end for Ciaran. When it does come eventually to an end, I’m really going to miss it.”
We’ll just have to wait and see!
