Much-loved Forecaster Evelyn Cusack is set to step away from her onscreen role.
The weatherperson has been promoted in Met Eireann to Head of Forecasting.
Evelyn is Ireland’s longest-serving forecaster having been on our screens for 30 years.
Though she will no longer be presenter the weather full-time, she will be onscreen occasionally during important weather announcements, a source told Independent.ie.
Evelyn is a firm favourite among viewers, and was voted Ireland’s Favourite Weather Forecaster at the TV Now Awards in 2009.
She will certainly be missed, but we are delighted for her in her new role.
