The BBC has released its official report on how much it pays staff.
Earlier reports suggested that Graham Norton was the highest paid presenter on the roster however, Chris Evans tops the list.
The Top Gear host is paid a whopping £2.2 million for the car show and other projects.
Gary Lineker is the second highest earner making around £1.75m for his work as a presenter.
Irishman Graham Norton comes third on the list making £850 per year. This is considerably less than the previously reported £2.5 million.
Norton hosts the self-titled television chat show, the BBC Radio 2 Saturday programme and also fronts the Eurovision coverage on the channel.
Claudia Winkleman is the highest paid woman on the roster and is paid around £450k.
The corporation has already admitted that there is a disparity between the pay of male and female employees.
Director general Tony Hall said: “At the moment, of the talent earning over £150,000, two-thirds are men and one-third are women. Is that where we want to be? No. Are we pushing further and faster than any other major broadcaster? Most certainly,”
