Grace Mongey has opened up about the nasty comments she has recently been facing.
She urged her followers to be kind and mindful as she spoke on her Instagram Stories.
The mother of two admitted that if people didn’t like her content they were welcome to unfollow her.
“I’m actually shocked at some of the DMs I’ve received today! I know things are said about me daily and I’ve learned not to let it affect me as much as it used to but today it really got the better of me!” she wrote.
“Please remember I am just a normal person, I am someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, someone’s wife, someone’s mother, someone’s friend!
“Would you want someone to talk about your loved one the way you talk about me? If you don’t like me, please just unfollow me, don’t feel like you have to tell me all the things you hate about me, I don’t need to hear it,” she continued.
“I don’t have the headspace for it right now and please remember I have a private life, I don’t share the majority of things that happen to me or those around me who I love.”
“We are all fighting our own battles so please, don’t assume you know me from the small amount I share on the internet,” she concluded.
After taking some time away, she confessed that she feeling a little better but admitted that she was moved to tears when she spoke to her mother on the phone.
Sharing a quote from author Scott Stabile, she wrote: “Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. Their opinions aren’t your problem. You stay kind, committed to love, and free in your authenticity.
“No matter what they do or say, don’t you dare doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. Just keep on shining like you do.“
Thankfully, Grace is taking some time for herself as she took her two children on a little staycation to Wexford.
