It seems many are rooting out the parasols and BBQs as Met Eireann is predicting a hot weekend for the country.
Parts of the country could reach up to 21 degrees, with the east and other coastal areas of the island set to experience the best weather on offer.
For now, the rain showers popping up around the country look ready to subside come tomorrow afternoon, making way for clear skies on Saturday. Met Eireann has said:
“Breezy again tomorrow (Friday the 13th) with a mix of sunny spells and showers. Some showers will be heavy in the afternoon with risk of hail.”
“Weekend continues to look good, winds easing Saturday but possibly picking up again Sunday. The finer details around cloud cover and temperatures still little uncertain but hopefully getting up to 20c.”
It looks like we best make the most of the nice weather this weekend, as it’s set to return to regularly scheduled programming again come next Monday. Early indications are suggesting that the country is set to be battered by rain and wind throughout next week.
Met Eireann has said that as of right now “weather warnings can’t be ruled out” for next week.
