Glenda Gilson has returned to Virgin Media, as her maternity leave official came to an end this week.
The presenter welcomed her first son Bobby to the world last October, and days after celebrating his birthday, returned to the world of tv and showbiz.
After 12 years on Xpose, the star was devastated to hear of its axing last month, but continues to work with the station.
Sharing a snap in studio, she simply said, “Back at it.”
Glenda, who had been at the helm of the show since 2008, found the demise particularly tough.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine at the time, she said, “Obviously I’m very sad to see Xpose go. I think to see the brand go is the thing that’s killing me because we worked hard to get it to where it was.
“We had some hard days, some great days. When it started it was a tough time, especially when everyone told us it wouldn’t succeed because there weren’t enough celebrities in Ireland to do a show like we did. We did live shows, we did hour long shows, we did everything.”
Glenda continued, “I loved every minute of it. And it was our blood, sweat and tears, all of us; Karen, Lisa, Aisling, Sybil and myself, and the background team that were there from the beginning and then everyone who joined throughout the years.
“We all loved it and had such passion for the show. You just don’t know what the future will bring, but of course I’m sad because it’s the end of an era.”
