Irish musician Glen Hansard will perform a free gig in Dublin today, to raise funds for the homeless in Ireland this Christmas.
The Falling Slowly singer is involved in the Home Sweet Home campaign, which is an organisation set up to deal with the homeless crisis in Ireland at the moment.
Home Sweet Home have recently taken over NAMA-owned property Apollo House, and want it to be used as shelter for those living on the street. Other celebs in support of the campaign are Hozier, Ronan Keating and Saoirse Ronan.
Glen took to social media yesterday to invite the public along to his gig, taking place this afternoon between 1 and 2pm in the city centre.
On Twitter he wrote, “We’ll sing a few songs at lunchtime tomorrow our side the Apollo mission! Pool beg St, 1-2pm, tea and a welcome.. Come along! Sing along..”
