Speaking to The Herald, Gaybo admitted that he is approaching his recovery gently. “I’m well on the mend. It will never be back to then, but nonetheless they warn you to take it easy and take it gently,I’m not walking as far as I used to and I’m not walking as fast as I used to, but otherwise I’m grand. I’m getting there.”
The 81-year-old suffered his first health scare in 2011 when he found he was unable to breathe.
Gay took a moment to thank well-wishers for all their support during his recovery. He has been inundated with kind messages from fans since last December.
“I’m doing very well indeed and people are very kind and come up to me as usual and they ask me how well I’m doing, everybody is extremely kind and lovely.”
Gay returned to the airwaves in January we continue to wish him a healthy and speedy recovery!
