It’s been almost a decade in the making, but finally, Garth Brooks is having his five-night run in Croke Park.
He kicked off his run of nights last Friday, playing the 9th, 10th and 11th of September before returning this weekend for the 16th and 17th.
And if you’re heading down you may have some questions, but worry not we have all the answers.
What time do the gates open at?
Croke Park will open at 5pm on the show days.
Concert goers are recommended to give themselves plenty of time to arrive and there will be no early queueing.
When will Garth Brooks be on stage?
Garth will be on stage at 7.30pm.
Who will be supporting Garth Brooks?
They will be no support act.
What is the age limit?
Under-14s are not allowed onto the pitch and under-5s will not be allowed into the stadium. All under-16s must be accompanied by an adult 18+.
There will be FREE-TAG-A-KID safety wristbands which will be available at all the customer care points both outside and inside the venue.
Parents/Guardians attending with young children or those with learning disabilities are encouraged to avail of these white wristbands which have a space for Parent/Guardian to write a contact number and seat number, if applicable.
The purpose of these wristbands is to help reunite lost children with parent/guardian should your child become separated from you within the venue.
Where can I collect my ticket?
The Ticketmaster box office is on Gill’s Corner (at the corner of Russell Street and North Circular Road).
Do I need to bring cash?
Croke Park is a cashless venue.
How can I get there?
There is no parking available on the streets in the immediate vicinity of Croke Park.
A traffic management plan will be in operation by An Garda Siochana. Croke Park is situated in a residential area with resident-only parking.
The area will be monitored by Dublin City Council’s Parking Enforcement and illegally parked cars will be clamped or towed away. Organisers strongly encourage concert-goers to use public transport. Perhaps park up the car & link with public transport on the outskirts of the city.
The closest train station is Drumcondra.
If you’re travelling by Dublin Bus:
1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 40, 40b, 40d, 40e, 41, 41b, 41c, and 44 will serve Drumcondra Road.
H1, H2, H3, 6, 14, 15, 27, 27a, 27b, 42, 43, 53, 130 will serve North Strand.
7 and 7a will serve Mountjoy Square.
122 will serve North Circular Road.
123 will serve Ballybough
All of these are beside/within walking distance from the stadium.
If you’re planning on walking from the city centre, it’ll take you approx. 20 minutes from O’Connell Street.
What can I bring with me?
Organisers have asked fans not to bring bags unless necessary – people without bags will be fast-tracked. If you must bring a bag, make sure it’s A4 sized or smaller and it will be subject to a search.
There can be no backpacks, large handbags, umbrellas, glass or cans, alcohol, personal seating of any kind, selfie sticks, flares, professional cameras, detachable lenses, video cameras, audio recording devices, iPads, GoPro’s etc. You will be refused entry.
Umbrellas are not allowed, so make sure that you’re bringing a rain jacket.
