Last week, the Garrihy family had to say goodbye to their beloved nana, Margaret.
The Clare native was laid to rest on Friday surrounded by her family including her three granddaughters, Aoibhín, Ailbhe and Doireann.
During a Q&A, Doireann admitted that things have been a “surreal” few days.
“We laid our nana Margaret to rest on Friday. A surreal few days of ‘the show must go on’. She absolutely loved her style and loved to dance too,” Doireann explained in an emotional Instagram Story.
Aoibhín shared pictures of her poem, My Mother, which takes a look at all the simple things that mothers do for us all.
Clare Garrihy, the sister’s mam, reshared the poem, with the caption: “The bed of Heaven to my beautiful Mom.“
She went on to share pictures of her parents explaining that they were now “reunited“.
“My style Queen. My Mom,“ she wrote alongside another picture of Margaret.
Clare then shared a picture of herself with her parents with the caption: “Simply The Best.“
