The latest edition of VIP Magazine will hit shelves tomorrow (yay) and among the fabulous photoshoots and interviews is top model Holly Carpenter, who we last sat down with for the mag in 2013.

At that time, she had just returned from the UK after placing seventh in Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model and was dating rugby star Cian Healy. This time round, she’s single and boasts a hugely successful modelling career, as well as a massive new online following due to her popular blog posts.

Check out her interview about her insecurities, single life, feminism, and life lessons learnt, as well as her gorgeous photos, in tomorrow’s magazine, but for now here’s a little sneak peak and quick Q&A with one of Ireland’s most down to earth beauties.

Your three dream dinner guests? (They can be dead or alive.)

In terms of someone I fancy, probably Ben Affleck, who’s newly single, so you never know. I also love Joan Rivers; she’d be gas. I’d actually love Graham Norton to be there – imagine the goss with him?

Your death-row meal?

Oh, I always ask people this. My starter would probably be something like deep fried scampi, and then, for mains, I might just have a massive Domino’s pizza.

What toppings?

Chicken, cheese and onions, and maybe that Reggae Reggae Sauce.

And dessert?

Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough, with Maltesers.

The one thing you look for in a friend?

Two please? Trust and loyalty.

The one thing you look for in a partner?

Someone who’s funny and who you can have a laugh with.

Your least favourite trait in a person?

Probably two-faced people. I used to be really naïve but I think I’ve gotten a bit better at reading people.

The best book you’ve ever read?

Recently, I read Luckiest Girl Alive – it’s great; I couldn’t put it down.

Your favourite childhood memory.

Probably when we went to New York for Christmas when I was around 14, and on Christmas Day, we were in a horse and carriage, going through Central Park, covered in a big blanket and it was snowing –– it was like a movie.

Your favourite beauty trend?

I’d say contouring; I’m obsessed.

Your least favourite beauty trend?

I don’t really like coloured eyeshadows – it looks good on the runway, but the likes of blue or yellow eyeshadow, I just would never do it.

The one thing you wish was never printed about you?

Probably when I did an interview for a paper, in February, and they asked if I’d been on any dates, and I said: ‘No, not really this year’ – as in the past two months – and they wrote this big article saying that I hadn’t been on a date in a year, and it was shared on Facebook and loads of people were commenting, writing things like: ‘Oh, she’s so attention seeking’ or ‘She’s coming across as desperate’, and people who I had been on dates with were like, ‘What’s she talking about?’ so it was just really embarrassing.
