VIP met top Irish model Thalia Heffernan recently for a stunning photoshoot with her tv producer dad, where she opened up to us about her feelings on her parents recently separating.
The 20-year-old’s parents Susan & Gerard separated last year, and this will be the second Christmas for her and her siblings without their mum and dad together.
But mature as ever, the beauty told us that she looks at the situation positively, only wanting her parents to be happy.
“It’s all still quite new,” she admitted. “As long as they’re both happy, myself and my sisters are happy. These things take time, but time is a healer.
“We’re a stronger family because of it, and it’s nice to see my parents so happy. There’s no bad blood.”
She added: “Things might initially be raw, but you need to look to the future and know everything will be ok. If it hasn’t become easier yet, you know it’s not the end.”
When it came to her own love life, Thalia was a little more coy. The star was quite open about her relationship with Andrew McGuinness in recent times on her social media accounts, but it seems she no longer wants to discuss their romance.
“It’s actually not something that I like talking about – some things I like to keep private!” she told VIP.
