It’s time to SHINE bright this Saturday, June 29th as Dublin plays host to the annual Pride March. The parade which takes place every June in the capital is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.
The theme for this year’s march is ‘Shine’ So it is officially time to don your sparkliest and most vibrant ensemble to show your pride this June.
The march will begin at noon on O’Connell Street. According to the Dublin Pride website if you would like to join the parade by yourself or with your friends and family you can simply just join in no registration is needed. If you are ready to carry on flying your rainbow flag after the march, Dublin Pride is hosting the Pride Village festival in Merrion Square. The free non-alcoholic event kicks off at 1pm and will host acts such as Phil T Gorgeous, ItsPaulRyder, Davina Devine, and many

If you want to show your pride by brunching with your mates, then look no further than The Well. Disco Social is hosting a bottomless brunch in the establishment this Saturday.
The event is from 12-4 pm at a cost of €35 for a cocktail and brunch and an additional €20 for the bottomless option. There will be plenty of performances to enjoy including The Disco Drag Queens and Disco Burlesque. More information and tickets can be found here.
Where to party the night away this Pride weekend
When you’re ready to start dancing your rainbow socks off, Mother Pride Block Party has got you covered. Mother has events taking place in three locations on Saturday: Lost Lane, Index Dublin and the National Museum of Ireland.
Unfortunately, both the Index, and Lost Lane venues are already sold out on Eventbrite, however, the National Museum venue is still selling tickets. The event begins at 4pm and has a flamboyant host of acts lined up to show their pride. If you want to get your hands on a ticket you better be fast.
The Button Factory is also the place to be this Saturday with The Euphoria World after-party featuring DJ Feeling taking place at the venue. The Party starts at 11 pm and tickets are available on Eventbrite.

What else can you do this Pride?
Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre in Dublin has a jam-packed schedule this Pride Saturday. The centre which works to support LGBTQ+ individuals has organised a Pride morning breakfast and also a sign-making workshop ahead of the big event.

If you are in need of some zen after the weekend of celebrations Outhouse is also hosting a yoga class on Monday, July 1st. The LGBTQ+ yoga class is being taught by certified yoga instructor JP O’Neill. Tickets cost €6.35 and will take place at the Outhouse sub-level theatre. You can purchase tickets to the class here.
Dublin Zoo has announced that it will be giving 50 per cent off adult tickets to the zoo this weekend. To avail of the deal, visitors must simply wear their finest Pride attire. The deal is available Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of June.

If you fancy a spot of shopping this Pride weekend, then pop into Wigwam on Abbey Street to discover the marvellous creations of the Gauche Market. According to their Instagram page, the market is a place for eccentric and enthusiastic small businesses. The market will take place on Sunday, June 30th from 12-5 pm.
How to show your support this Pride
As the annual parade brings the Pride Month celebrations to a halt for another year, you can still support Ireland’s LGBTQ+ communities by donating to charities and organisations.
LGBT Ireland is an organisation that runs helplines that listen to and support members of the LGBTQ+ community. They are open seven days a week and have an online chat service.
TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland) is working hard to end transphobia here in Ireland.
The organisation holds workshops to raise awareness for trans issues and helps to support trans people who feel isolated and excluded in society. TENI works in four main areas: healthcare, education, employment, and legislation to make Irish society a place where trans people can thrive.
Belong To is Ireland’s national LGBTQ+ youth organisation which caters to young people between the ages of 14 and 23. The mission of the organisation is to create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ communities and educate others on the topic so they can learn how to support them.
