Actor Emmet Scanlan and his wife Claire Cooper are expecting their second child together, the pair have announced.
Sharing their growing family, Claire, who is also an actress shared a sweet snap of herself and her bump with their first child, Ocean-Torin looking on. She also revealed that her due date is this Spring.
“Our family is growing #fall” she wrote.
While Emmet simply said: “Incoming… #ScanClan”
The two have suffered heartbreak on their journey to starting a family. Tragically, they lost their first baby back in 2019, which also left Claire fighting for her life.
Opening up about the experience back in 2020 after they had welcomed their little boy Ocean Torin into the world, Emmet said:
“July of last year we lost our baby and in the process my wife was left fighting for her life.”
“Exactly 12 months later and after 40 hours of labour with an emergency C-section Ocean-Torin was born.”
“The trauma her body and mind went through in that year is beyond anything I can possibly comprehend. Helpless, all I could do was hold her hand. And once again, I fell in love just a little bit more.”
Friends and family rushed to the comments section to share their congratulations with the couple.
