It’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year, but James Bond fans were left disappointed when there was a technical fault at the Dublin premiere of Spectre last night.
One of the first showings of the Hollywood blockbuster in the capital was delayed due to a glitch, causing some cinema-goers to leave early in frustration.
But a manager on duty said most people were “happy to wait an hour” for the film to be screened.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, he said most people opted to stay at the screening, which seated 500.
“We did everything we could and we refunded anyone who couldn’t wait. It was just really unfortunate,” the manager said.
Meanwhile, Irish stars enjoyed walking the red carpet along with the Royal Family at the glamorous London premiere.
Ronan and Storm Keating were evidently thrilled to attend the special event and join the likes of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, as well as James Bond himself, Daniel Craig.
“I think #SPECTRE is the best Bond film of the lot. Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig have smashed it. #justsaying.” Ronan tweeted.
Meanwhile, his Australian wife wrote: “Well that was the biggest & scariest red carpet EVER #DeerInHeadlights #Spectre #London #JamesBond #007 Now let’s watch this film, Excited!”
