Ed Sheeran fans got some pretty terrible news last weekend, when it was reported that the singer may be taking a break from the music industry.
An insider told The Daily Star, “Ed has pretty much achieved everything there is to achieve in music. He absolutely loves what he does and is riding the wave of his success at the moment, but at the same time he wants a more normal life.
“When or if he gets married he wants to put his wife and kids first and not his career. If that means going AWOL for years then so be it.”
However, the Shape Of You singer has now addressed the rumour, stating that it is totally untrue. Hurrah! On Twitter he quoted an article by MTV that reported his rumoured hiatus and said “Das B****cks.”
Fans were delighted to hear that he wouldn’t be hanging up his guitar just yet, with one writing “Thank God for that,” while another said, “That’s the perfect response, thanks mate.”
