Soap star, Shona McGarty has confirmed her romance with an Irish musician.
The actress who is best known for playing Whitney Dean on EastEnders took to social media to showcase her new boyfriend, David Bracken.
David, who is one half of the band Blessed with Tony Cunningham hails from Co.Galway and is no stranger to performing all over the country, including at this year’s Electric Picnic and at TikTok sensation Tadhg Fleming’s summer wedding.
Sharing some loved-up snaps of herself and David at her sister’s wedding on Instagram, Shona wrote: “And then my soul saw you, and went..‘Oh there you are!’

The star then captioned another photo of her and her beau: “My whole world x”
The new romance comes after Shona was previously linked to her EastEnders co-star Max Bowden, who plays Ben Mitchell.
However, according to The Sun, the pair decided to call it quits after things became “complicated”.
In other news for the actress, Shona announced in June that she would be stepping away from EastEnders, after 15 years on the soap.
Wanting to “spread her wings” the actress’ final scenes will air early next year, with producers still deciding on her exit storyline.
Speaking to The Sun, Shona said: “I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders.
“I have loved my years in the show. I have been trusted with some incredible storylines and have made amazing friendships — and family — which will endure,”
