Yes, the Quarter Final is here and we’re down to our final six contestants.

They will be showcasing their cowboy skills on Sunday night. Here’s how everyone got on in the quarter final…

Taekwondo athlete, Jack Woolley danced a Quickstep to Dasha’s 2024 top five hit Austin (Boots Stop Workin’) alongside his pro dance partner Alex Vladimirov.

And he certainly brought Clint Eastwood in this “sprint step”.

Loraine Barry enthused that this Quickstep was “fully loaded” while Arthur Gourounlian said it was “electrifying”.

They received three nines and an eight from Brian Redmond, meaning it was a total of 35.

Kayleigh Trappe and Ervinas Merfeldas

Lip-syncing social media star Kayleigh Trappe and her partner Ervinas Merfeldas reeled off a romantic Rumba to I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton.

She told VIP Magazine: “If I’m booted out this week, my family is locking the door.” But it was an incredible performance, so we’re sure there’s no fear of that!

“To me that was smooth, controlled and absolutely captivating,” Arthur gushed over the dance. “This was a number you really owned tonight.”

Kayleigh and Ervinas received their highest score of the season with a fabulous 33 with three eights and a nine from Arthur.

Kevin Dundon and Rebecca Scott

With a string of entertaining performances under his belt, chef, Kevin Dundon glided into week nine alongside his professional dance partner Rebecca Scott with a Charleston to Rompin’ Stompin’ by Scooter Lee.

He failed to impress the judges.

Brian Redmonds said he “dug up a bucket of fool’s gold” while Loraine couldn’t stop laughing when they mentioned “technicalities”.

He received three fives and a six from Arthur, meaning he received a total of 21.

Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan

Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Rhys McClenaghan and his professional dance partner Laura Nolan performed an American Smooth to Nathan Carter’s classic version of Wagon Wheel.

They promised to bring their A-game and they certainly did that. They had three of the judges up on their feet, clearly Brian was stuck to his seat.

Karen Byrne said that it was “pure class” before she was rendered speechless. While Loraine told them it was “absolute perfection”. Brian declared them his “honky-tonk hero”.

Unfortunately the weren’t able to get a perfect score as Brian gave them a nine but they received a total of 39!

Having earned her first ever 10 paddle last week, former Miss Universe Ireland Aishah Akorede is hoping to maintain her good form after she and partner Robert Rowiński Jived to Lainey Wilson’s recent country hit, Hang Tight Honey.

Dolly Parton seemed to possess Aishah this week and it’s safe to say we’re obsessed.

“It really was a very, very good jive. I really enjoyed the whole production,” Loraine said. While Arthur gushed: “This was a jive with a capital J.”

They received four eights from the judges with a total of 32.

Danny O’Carroll and Salome Chachua

After finding himself in last Sunday’s Dance-Off, Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Danny O’Carroll hoped his luck will change when he and partner Salome Chachua took on a Quickstep to Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire.

Well it’s safe to say he won’t have to Walk the Line after that incredible performance.

“It was fun, fast and an absolutely fantastic dance,” Arthur enthused, however, Brian said that he was “a little bit concerned” about their fate in the show.

He received two sevens from Brian and Loraine and two eights from Karen and Arthur with a total of 30.
