Dublin GAA star Philly McMahon has opened up about life off the pitch, and his hopes for the future.
The 29-year-old is currently an all star-winning Dublin GAA player, he runs his own online meal delivery business, Fitfood-Ireland.ie, and also two gyms in Dublin called BeDo7.
While he is certainly conquering the sporting and business world, the Ballymun native has revealed that he would also like to start a family. The footballer has been with his girlfriend, PR guru Sarah Lacey, for three years now and the pair live together.
Although Philly admitted that they do want to have kids, right now they are both focussed on their career and the next step for them as a couple is buying a house together.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent he said, “We are living together, yeah. I am training every day. She has a busy job in PR. She is doing some great work. She is the cougar. She is working long hours and will come home late and I am off to training late in the evening. So sometimes it is tough.
“I love cooking but I am very lucky that I have chefs that cook for me, because I have a company called Fit Food, a home delivery service. Sarah cooks sometimes.
“We have no plans yet for kids but I definitely want to be a dad. We’re both doing well in our careers and we’re hopefully going for a house in the near future. We have looked around Ballymun. If I had a nice house in Ballymun I’d buy it, if I had the money, obviously. We like the houses in different areas like Santry and Glasnevin.”
