Drake paid tribute to his “crazy” Dublin fans in an emotional speech at his highly anticipated 3Arena gig last night.
Drake’s devout Irish following have been patiently awaiting his two sold out gigs since it was announced that he was coming to Dublin last October.
The American rapper took to the stage last night for the first of his two Irish gigs and he was blown away by his Irish fans’ enthusiasm.
“You are the craziest bunch of people I’ve seen in my fucking life.” he told the crowd.
He then went on to praise his Irish fans in a heartfelt tribute, and said last night was one of his best gigs to date.
“I love each and every one of y’all, I had a great time tonight. I don’t know if there’s going to be another show that tops this.
“At a time where everyday we turn on the news and they try and tell us we can’t get along, how the world is falling apart, how we’re supposed to be divided, not united.
“The best part and the most beautiful part about Dublin is I look around and I see people from all places, all races, just showing love.
“We are the young generation, it’s up to us to keep this world together, nobody can tell us how this shit works, do you understand what I’m saying?
“I just want you to know, I’m proud of each and every one of you, keep showing love together.”
