Huge congratulations are in order for Crystal Swing singer Derek Burke, as he popped the question to his longterm girlfriend Claire Mc Auliffe earlier this week.
Derek is best known for his role in country Irish music group Crystal Swing, where he performs alongside his mum Mary Murphy-Burke and sister Dervla Burke.
The musician proposed to his girlfriend with the help of Santa in Bunratty on Wednesday night, and he took to social media to express his delight.
On Facebook he shared an adorable snap and alongside it wrote, “Well after the best 3 years I’ve finally popped the question to the best girlfriend ever and she said yes.
“Even had the backing of Santa and he helped me through the big moment. Thanks to all in Bunratty for making it so special, and best thing is Claire Mc Auliffe didn’t suspect a thing.”
