Doubt had been cast over the future of Dancing with the Stars.
As it always seems to be!
But worry not because the fan-favourite show will return for a seventh season in the new year.
RTÉ confirmed that the dance competition would be back during the reveal of its Autumn/Winter schedule.
Both Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy will be back at the helm after a successful first year together as co-hosts.
11 new hopefuls will sashay their way across the dancefloor in the new year.
But we’ll have to be patient to see who exactly those will be.
Last year, Carl Mullan lifted the Glitterball Trophy to the delight of viewers around the country.
Speaking after his win, Carl told VIP Magazine: “This has been the most incredible experience to go through. From where we started, I was looking back at video of our first rehearsal and I knew nothing. I did one knee spin in a school play in Fourth Year, that’s all the experience I had.”
He was partnered up with Emily Barker who had appeared on the show’s six seasons and finally got her win!
“I’m so happy we won it for Emily, this was her third final. I’m so happy. There were times where I would tell Emily I’m just not cut out for this.“
We can’t wait to cry over the next winner!
