He may not have won Love Island but Dami Hope won the hearts of the nation when he appeared on Love Island.
He and the rest of the finalists flew back to the UK on Wednesday after the finale taking place on Monday night.
Dami has yet to return to Ireland but has been running amock in England with Indiyah Polack and Luca Bish.
However, as every good Irish boy should he was able to quickly call into his mother and speak to her for the first time in eight weeks.
He shared a screenshot of the pair chatting on Facetime with Dami admitting he got a scolding for his behaviour on the show.
“Momma’s boy,” he joked, “Says I gave her HB (high blood) pressure and tears throughout. I love her so much.”
He added: “She’s been team DamIndiyah since day 1.”
Dami will more than likely remain in the UK until after the Love Island finale which takes place on Sunday, August 7th.
He and Indiyah will speak to Laura Whitmore in the ITV Studios about their journey in the Love Island villa and how their first week has been out in the real world.
The special episode will be on Virgin Media Two and will run from 9:00pm to 10:30pm.
Ekin-Su and Davide were crowned the winners, with Gemma and Luca coming in second place. Our very own Dami came third with his girlfriend Indiyah. While Tasha and Andrew came in fourth place.
In a video on Love Island’s Instagram, Ekin-Su and Davide gushed about their win, with Ekin saying: “Thank you everyone for voting us and thank you for making us who we are.”
Davide added: “I didn’t expect it, I still don’t believe it.”
“I still can’t believe it, I think everyone’s winners in here and I just feel really lucky to be here,” Ekin-Su continued.
“We’re all great couples, but thank you for everyone,” Davide began with Ekin-Su finishing: “Thank you for everyone literally, for going on our journey with us, it means so much, so much!”
