Is it just us or do you feel like you’ve seen more of Ireland on Instagram this year than ever before? It’s like we never quite knew how lucky we are with what’s on our doorstep!
Dáithí Ó Sé and his wife Rita are the latest to give us staycation envy as they’ve been exploring Belfast over the weekend.
The pair have been sharing lots of snaps from their travels and it looks like they’re making the most of their stay with Dáithí posting that they had “a great trip around Belfast earlier” after doing the Black Cab Tour.
It also seems like they’ve been hitting up lots of lovely restaurants throughout their trip with Rita sharing pictures of Dáithí captioned; “Like a new born has to be fed every 3 hours.”
Dáithí also shared a gorgeous picture of Rita and said; “Eating our way through Belfast. Food tour continues.”
The pair recently celebrated their eight year wedding anniversary. The couple, who have a five-year-old son together, married in a romantic ceremony in Dingle Co.Kerry back in 2012 – and have been enjoying wedded bliss ever since.
Dáithí shared a snap of the couple leaving the church after the ceremony saying; “8 years ago today..@ritataltyose we should have cake to celebrate..”
The couple met back in 2008 on The Rose of Tralee, and Rita has opened up about how the pair’s relationship blossomed, admitting they had a very unconventional way of talking when they first met!
The former New Jersey Rose admitted she fell for the Kerryman after spending months messaging on Facebook following her return to the US after the competition.
“After the Rose of Tralee, Facebook is how we connected a few months later,” Rita said.
“It started with a poke on Facebook. I think I kept popping up on the side of his page where it says suggested friends and we started messaging before we became friends,” she added.
Eight years later and the pair are clearly still very much in love!
