Dáithí Ó Sé and his wife Rita had a lot to celebrate this weekend as they marked their eight year wedding anniversary. The couple, who have a five-year-old son together, married in a romantic ceremony in Dingle Co.Kerry back in 2012 – and have been enjoying wedded bliss ever since.
Dáithí shared a snap of the couple leaving the church after the ceremony saying; “8 years ago today..@ritataltyose we should have cake to celebrate..”

The couple met back in 2008 on The Rose of Tralee, and Rita has opened up about how the pair’s relationship blossomed, admitting they had a very unconventional way of talking when they first met!
The former New Jersey Rose admitted she fell for the Kerryman after spending months messaging on Facebook following her return to the US after the competition.
“After the Rose of Tralee, Facebook is how we connected a few months later,” Rita said.
“It started with a poke on Facebook. I think I kept popping up on the side of his page where it says suggested friends and we started messaging before we became friends,” she added.
Eight years later and the pair are clearly still very much in love!
