Looks like Courteney Cox and her musician boyfriend, Johnny McDaid are the latest celebrities to celebrate the festive period in Donegal this year.

According to Donegal Daily, the pair and family dined at The Boathouse Restaurant in Moville last Wednesday, where they enjoyed a scenic meal by Lough Foyle.

The couple have been together since late 2013 and were even engaged for a brief period in 2014, before calling it off and remaining together.

Of course, the restaurant staff were all too delighted to welcome the group for their meal and even snapped a photo of their outing which they shared to their social media.

Captioning it: “Delighted to have Courteney Cox, Johnny McDaid and Family come visit The Boathouse last night.”

However, the celebrations in our lovely Emerald Isle didn’t end there for the Freinds actress and Snow Patrol musician as it is also believed they rang in the New Year close to Johnny’s home in Derry.

Courtney shared a snap to her Instagram sharing a New Year’s kiss with her love as the clock struck midnight and confirmed that she wasn’t stateside for the celebrations.

Writing: “Happy GMT new year!” alongside three heart emojis.

Courteney isn’t the only celebrity to enjoy the holidays in Ireland however, as Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick spent Christmas in their holiday home in Kilcar.

The Sex And The City star even took to Instagram to mark her time here as she bid farewell to her second home.

Sharing a photo of green fields, grey skies and a rainbow, the 57-year-old wrote: “Thank you Ireland. It was a happy. Always hard to leave. But you sent us off nice. X,SJ.”

Who can blame you, Sarah?
