When it comes to churning out action movies, Liam Neeson has served us well over the years.
The Northern Irish actor is known for playing the protagonist in action thrillers such as the Taken franchise as well as Retribution and In The Land of Saints And Sinners.
But now it looks as if the movie star is finally considering settling down…from the action world that is.
Yes, speaking to People, Liam opened up about his age and his job saying: “I’m 72 – it has to stop at some stage.
“You can’t fool audiences. I don’t want (my Taken stunt double) Mark (Vanselow) to be fighting my fight scenes for me.”
“Maybe the end of next year. I think that’s it,” he added.
The new movie is based on the hugely popular television series and trio of films created by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker.
The original saw Leslie Nielson as Franklin “Frank” Drebin, a good-hearted yet gullible detective.
While this time around, Liam will lead the modern version of the slapstick films.
Touching on the pressure to deliver, Liam said: “Whether I can carry it or not, I honestly don’t know.”
No better man, says us!
