Fresh off his recent Oscar nominee, Cillian Murphy is set to star in another majorly successful movie.
Yes, the Irish actor is not only starring in, but also producing Steve, a film based on the Max Porter novel Shy.
This latest project will officially launch Cillian’s production company, Big Things Films, with longtime collaborator Alan Moloney.

So what’s it about?
According to Deadline: “Steve is a reimagining of Porter’s Shy and traces a pivotal 24 hours in the life of its eponymous character, a headteacher (Cillian) of a last-chance reform school who struggles to keep his students in line, while also grappling with his spiralling mental health.”
It will be directed by Tim Mielants, who has also worked with Cillian on Peaky Blinders and their upcoming adaptation of the Claire Keegan bestseller Small Things Like These, which receives its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival next week.
Steve is set to begin production this Spring.
The 16-year-old has been cast in Taika Waititi’s upcoming film Klara and the Sun.
The movie will star Wednesday star, Jenna Ortega and the one and only, Amy Adams. So we’re sure it will be a hit.
