Cian Ducrot is taking over the airwaves.
And rightfully so.
The powerful Irish singer has become a sensation not just on our shores but abroad as well.
And he flexed his star power this week with an incredible performance on American TV.
The Cork-born singer was in the crowd at The Today Show’s music special with the hosts Hoda Kotb, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker chatting about how far people travelled to see them.
When asked where he travelled from to be in New York Cian explained: “I came all the way from Ireland but I actually brought something special for you.“
Of course, Cian immediately breaks out his guitar and gives a beautiful rendition of his song I’ll Be Waiting.
Oh, and that’s not all the surprises he has in store. As the crowd actually happens to be a choir.
We just had an extra heartwarming moment on the Plaza this morning! @Cian_ducrot stopped by to give @hodakotb, @SheinelleJones, @craigmelvin, @savannahguthrie, and @alroker a surprise! 🥺 pic.twitter.com/IKMRWf98un

After the beautiful performance, one of the other hosts introduces Cian properly.
“This is not your average Today Show fan, this is one of our aspiring great new voices coming out, this is Cian Ducrot,“ Carson Daly explains.
“Cian is from Ireland and he just opened up for Ed Sheeran last Monday, he was with the Jonas Brothers, it’s all happening in popular music right at this moment for Cian.“
This isn’t the first time Cian has broken into song like this. In fact, he has been travelling the world and spreading joy with his incredible songs.
“At the start people were confused by this random guy singing and then the choir joins in and they’re ‘Oh this is the real deal.”,’ Cian explained.
Cian’s first album Victory is dropping in July and he will be heading on tour later this year.
